Damien is a Principal at Butler and an experienced Financial Advisor in Ballarat, specialising in family wealth, financial planning and business advisory. He works closely with business owners and families to improve profitability, build long-term wealth and make confident financial decisions.
With deep expertise in wealth management, business structuring, self-managed super funds (SMSFs) and succession planning, Damien takes a practical, big-picture approach. His focus is on building long-term relationships and acting as a trusted advisor through every stage of a client’s financial and wealth journey.
As a trusted Ballarat financial planner, Damien supports clients with strategic financial planning, investment decisions and long-term wealth creation strategies tailored to their goals. He works with clients across Ballarat and Western Victoria, and also and also advises clients across Australia and internationally on complex family wealth matters.
Outside of work, Damien and his wife Kim are kept busy with their four children. He’s a keen cyclist and enjoys getting out on the trails whenever he can.
Damien has held a number of leadership roles, including former Chair of VECCI Western Region. He is a Life Governor and former President of Sovereign Hill Museums Association Ltd, and currently sits on the board of NOVAR Medical Research Institute.
He holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science and a Diploma of Financial Planning, and is a Chartered Taxation Advisor (CTA) with the Tax Institute. Damien is also a registered tax agent, financial advisor and SMSF Specialist, and a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and the Tax Institute of Australia.
